this post took forever to do, so now i'm just feeling lazy and like i only want to post photos. but for the sake of my bad memory, i'm going to caption the photos. since i will for sure have forgotten the details by next year and i'll be sad about it.

quinn woke up, did his final resurrection egg and then we went on a basket hunt. this year each basket item was from the dollar store. he played with the things for one day and then i threw it all away so sneaky-like. it was amazing :) |

we stopped and visited auntie after church. we'll take any excuse to visit her because she moved out and we are still recovering. probably we will never recover. |

quinn ran through the yard like such a crazy yelling "so many eggs!! so many eggs!!" |

quinn loved Easter. i started building up to it VERY early, just like i did with Christmas. i think it worked...i wanted to get to him before he even saw a bunny rabbit or egg. i also did resurrection eggs with him sort of like an advent calender...each egg had a scripture reference and an article symbolizing something easter-y. he really loved it and still asks if we can 'do our egg!?' when he wakes up in the morning.
our day was calm and sweet with just the three of us after church until evening time when we went to travis' fiances parents house with my folks and siblings. no schedule, nothing crazy...just loving on family and friends and remembering the treasure we have in Jesus. it could not have been more perfect.
Oh my goodness. The photo of you, Matt, and Quinn on the swing.... gah... heart is melting. Beautiful.
ReplyDeleteAlso, Travis is engaged?!!! Wow.
